Channel 4 looking for disabled teenagers

Channel Four Education are looking for young aspiring film-makers to take part in a new series about teenage relationships. LifeProof will be a series of films about how young people deal with the many problems and dilemmas relating to growing up, especially their relationships with each other. Our research so far suggests that young people look to their friends for support and advice much more than to their parents or teachers. The young people we have spoken to also say that they would love to see this reality reflected and documented on television in a way which accurately reflects their life experience. We are keen that each film reflects the different experiences of teenagers today and with that in mind we want to get in touch with teens with a disability. The films will not just be about the young people but will also be produced by them. This is very much an interactive process whereby the young people will be given some degree of control over the films we make with them, having a chance to shoot some sequences if they are able and also some input in the edit.

Each film will reflect the lives of the people involved and involve a total of about 7 filming days. The filming process is happening now! So we are keen to meet people who are interested as soon as possible, so email or ring Alex or Claire on 01273 648380 alex@lambentproductions.co.uk
